Since 2002, Brandon Chia has garnered the trust of innumerable clients with his strategic investments, primarily in the districts 9, 10, 15 and 16. Chia’s golden rule, which he shares with the 30 associates under his leadership, is, “Be passionate, focused and persistent about the business.
“The key is to be focused. To be successful, we can’t be jumping into one project after another which by hearsay, is in a money-making area. We must acquire a deep understanding of the product we’re selling first, before taking on another product.”
The talented producer also believes in imparting mastery learning, “Just like what Lawrence Tan, our Senior Group Associate Director who recruited me in 2002, likes to do, I teach my team members how to fish for themselves, rather than just feed them with leads. This way, they gain their own survival skills.” With his generous sharing of these valuable ‘assets’, many of his team members actually join him by referral from realtors who have gained from his approach.
On top of his responsibilities in sales and managing, Chia also runs property launches as a project in-charge to oversee the marketing agents involved.
Personally speaking…
Chia may not have time to play soccer as often today, but the football fanatic used to be a goal-keeper in the soccer team of Ngee Ann Polytechnic when he was a student there. From the sport, he learnt that ‘focus’ is the name of the game. He knew that even if he lose his focus for just one moment, it could cost his entire team a medal to the match. This level of concentration is what he has been utilising to work in the fast-paced property scene.
